Trollbeads People's Bead

The 2025 People’s Bead, Mountain Edelweiss, was designed by Alexandra Chapman of Germany. Inspired by her alpine surroundings, Alexandra first sketched the design in pencil before developing it digitally. She shares, “I am happiest when I’m out in nature, and the mountains feel like home to me. That connection inspired the idea for my bead.” Her vision became this year’s winning design: a silver bead featuring the resilient edelweiss flower blooming along a mountain silhouette, with a faceted labradorite at its heart to symbolize the hidden treasures of nature.

Since 2009, Trollbeads has released a People’s Bead every fall, a beloved tradition that captures the democratic essence of the Trollbeads spirit. Each year, people from around the globe submit drawings, and the Trollbeads community votes to decide which design will be brought to life. The result is a bead that reflects not only the artistry of its designer but also the collective passion of Trollbeads enthusiasts worldwide.

Every year, one bead has been released for the event, except in 2012 and 2013 when multiple designs were chosen. In this category, you’ll find all of the past winning beads still available in the permanent collection. Together they tell a story of creativity, imagination, and shared inspiration that continues to grow with each passing year.
