Cherubs, and myriad other mythical and angelic figures, have been an important element in the Trollbeads narrative. The adorable Cherub of Living affectionately holds a cat in his arms as if he were protecting it from harm by drawing it close to his heart. The image seems to instruct us to care for animals, and non-human life in general, just like we would care for our own children.
