I think we all know the way it feels to under appreciate something until you can no longer have it. It could be anything really; free room and board at your parents house, a perfect pair of shoes you didn't buy, a relationship. Well for me Trollbeads-wise it is the Lake Eye Bead. When it was in the regular collection I thought it was pretty, but overlooked it in my designs. Then of course, like so many Trollbeads do, it retired. Now I am finding that I use this bead for so many things! I am totally infatuated with the beautiful deep jewel color, and for us being so close to one of the Great Lakes, it has special meaning.

Lesson learned (hopefully)- always appreciate beads while in core collection. Or buy them up as soon as you know they are going to retire
